Wont be kissing in all movies: Kavya Shetty

Kavya Shetty is one model turned actress who wanted to go beyond runways and covershoots and be part of the cine world.
The six-film- old actress is slowly getting comfortable in tinsel town. She tells City Express, "I am growing with each film. I have been told that I am getting better in terms of dressing sense and body language.
Though we don't see that many models who make their career in Kannada industry, a lot of them coming from fashion have made it in Bollywood. It also depends on luck and how you learn and grow," she says.
It hasn't been a cakewalk though, says Kavya.

"Those from theatre and small screen have an upper hand since they come from an acting background. But there are those who haven't had such any experience," she adds.
The actress quotes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone as examples. "These model turned actresses are recognised globally," she says.
According to Kavya, in any field, self learning is important.
"I used to do commercials. It has to come from within. May be if I had done a course in acting, it would have helped me, but I feel it is great to be learning on my own," she says.
The actress, whose movie Smile Please will be released soon believes that it is important to share a good rapport with the director.

Smile Please has Kavya starring opposite Gurunandan for the first time.
The series of lip locks she has done with her co-star in a song for the film has create quite a buzz. "I don't know what marks as bold in Kannada. I didn't think much when the director discussed the kissing scene with me," she says.
Kavya says her character has dual shades, much of which is revealed during the climax. "I watched the film a couple of days ago and I felt the kissing scene goes with the flow. One thing I was particular was it shouldn't look vulgar. The whole act looks classy thanks to our production team," says Kavya, who adds, "Just because I did in this film, I will not agree to kiss in all my films. Kissing scenes are not easy to shoot."
Kavya says that she has a lot of respect for Gurunandan and found him to be supportive as a co-star. "All went well because we share a comfort level," she says Kavya's has completed two more projects - 3 Gante 30
Nimisha and Silicon City.
"This is the first time I have taken to dubbing for my movies. Right now I am busy trying to the diction right while I say Smile Please," signs off Kavya.
